Well, now you do!
My name is Trang. I am a 14 year old girl. I live with my mother, my brother, sister and a niece in Ho Chi Minh City. Our house has only one room, which is small. I have never seen my father, he left when I was one month old. We lived in the countryside, but there was not enough work for us, so we moved to HCMC to have a better life. My mother works as a maid in an ice-cream shop and she cleans a company building. But now she is sick, so I take over her work as a cleaner.
My brother works as a waiter in a restaurant and my sister also works as a cleaner and she sells clothes. My niece is only 6 years old, so we all take care of her.
Nice to meet you!
Maybe you think I'm not happy. Then you're wrong. I like to go to school and learn new things, because I want to become a tour guide when I'm older. But my English is not so good (my teacher helped me with this), so I must study hard. And that is difficult with my daily routine. But, as our total monthly income is about 2.600.000 VND ( 150 dollars), we all must work hard to pay the rent and our food and our clothes.
Of course you can help me if you want. That would be very kind of you. Then, please contact the Thang Long School at thanglongschool03@gmail.com
Thank you for reading my story and maybe one day I can be your guide in Vietnam.
I really hope so! |
